"But luxury has never appealed to me, I like simple things, books, being alone, or with somebody who understands."

Religious violence in Burma is not new, but it has never been attracted the attention of media. Tens of victims are killed, and we never hear about them. Yesterday, the state media announced the death of 34 victims due to violence, 1300 houses were burned, thus, displacing more than 11,000 people, according to official sources. The numbers are far beyond the announced.
What happens of Burma of killing, burning, torturing, and violations is just like what happens in Syria. The silence of the International Community and organizations like the UN, Human Rights Watch and others is another proof that can be added to their record which is full of failure. Thanks to all of these organizations which were never just with oppressed people.
Syria and Burma suffer the same wound.
